Local hydration notes

Staying hydrated in The Woodlands

  • Summer heat: Houston-area summers bring heat indexes well above 100°F. Pre-hydrate before yard work, tennis, or golf.
  • Race season: The Woodlands hosts big endurance events like IRONMAN Texas and The Woodlands Marathon. Recovery starts with fluids and electrolytes.
  • Concert nights: Long, hot evenings at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion add up. Drink water between drinks.

Competing athletes: anti-doping rules (WADA/USADA) restrict IV infusions over 100 mL in a 12-hour period outside of hospital care. Check your event’s rules before booking.
